Tarp buvusių Vakarų Vokietijos aukštųjų mokyklų Kasselio universitetas (Gesamthochschule Kassel GhK) užima ypatingą vietą. Šis jauniausias universitetas Heseno regione įsteigtas 1971 m. kaip naujas integruotos aukštosios mokyklos modelis. Šiame universitete, kitaip negu kitose Vokietijos aukštojo mokslo institucijose, teikiamos labai plačios studijų pasirinkimo galimybės. Kasselio universiteto studijų organizavimo sistema nėra vienalytė: joje integruojamos ir kitos europinės studijų organizavimo sistemos. Tokiu būdu sudaromos puikios galimybės bendradarbiauti su kitais universitetais bei pasikeisti tarptautinėmis programomis. Kasselio universitetas glaudžiai bendradarbiauja su dvidešimt dviem universitetais iš viso pasaulio.
Pedagogical subjects play an important role in the development of the education process of the universities preparing teachers. The experience of other countries is also important in order to improve the organization of the pedagogical process. Referring to the analysis of the educological literature and various documents, as well as the researcher himself / herself observing and participating in the process of education the article reveals some peculiarities of the teachers education at Kassel University in Germany, such as the principles of yhe University conception, methods of work with students, forms, organizations of the pedagogical practice, some evaluation aspects.
