The question under discussion is: In what way those that dedicate themselves to the Blessed Virgin Mary may be said to reach psychological as well, as religious maturity? The answer is that those who dedicate themselves in such a way that they are ready to receive a vocation which is a participation in the mission of Jesus the Saviour. Self - giving expands and matures a person psychologically. Moreover, participation in the mission of Christ always leaves an imprint of Christ, which means that such a person matures as a disciple of Christ, and that is religious maturity. Spiritual motherhood of Mary is the continuation of her divine Motherhood: she passes her own and her Son’s self - sacrificing love unto those who dedicate themselves to her. One example is provided, namely that of St. Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort.
