Straipsnyje siekiama - gretinant du skirtingų periodų kūrinius, nuosekliau supažindinti saktytoją su žymaus šių laikų (ir religinio) mąstytojo Emanuelio Levino žvilgsnio perspektyva. Iš Lietuvos kilęs Levinas bandė išversti judaizmo ir Šventojo Rašto iššūkį į filosofinę kalbą, tad įstatymo klausymasis ir mąstymas jo kūriniuose persipina, ypač ties kertinėmis žmogiškosiomis patirtimis: laiku, mirtimi, Kitu. Bandoma išryškinti radikaliai naują, daugiau negu žmogišką, tad ir krikščioniškai aktualų Levino iššūkį: mirtis kaip nuoroda į Kitą.
The aim of this article is to get more consequent acquaintance with the famous contemporary thinker Emmanuel Levinas’s thought and the perspective of his challenge, mainly by confronting two books of Levinas, belonging to different periods of his creative activity. Born in Lithuania, Levinas tried to translate the message of Gudaism and of Holy Scripture into philosophical language. That’s why the listening of the Law is interwoven with the thought, especially considering the founding human experiences: the time, the death, the Other. Death reveals the Other.
