Straipsnyje pateikiami atlikto tyrimo rezultatai nustatant Latvijos mokinių gebėjimus suprasti pagrindinę nežinomo teksto mintį (darbo pasiūlymai prancūzų kalba). Straipsnyje glaustai pateikiamas teorinis leksinio suvokimo pagrindas, taip pat aprašomas kitų kalbų galimas poveikis įsisavinant prancūzų kalbą kaip trečiąją kalbą. Teoriniai klausimai pagrindžiami praktika. Po teorinių svarstymų straipsnyje pateikiama atvejo analizė. Analizė atlikta su 110 vidurinio ugdymo mokyklų mokinių, besimokančių prancūzų kalbos Kuržemės regione. Tyrimo respondentais pasirinkti 10 klasės mokiniai, kurie pradėjo mokytis prancūzų kalbos, ir pradinio lygio kalbos vartotojai 11 ir 12 klasėse. Buvo analizuojami keli psicholingvistiniai aspektai: kitų kalbų įtaka, paaiškinanti perkėlimo ir leksinės interferencijos reiškinius, taip pat suvokimo ir interpretacijos sunkumai.
This paper aims to present the research results clarifying the ability of a Latvian student to perceive the main idea in an unfamiliar text (a job offer in French). At first, the theoretical framework of lexical processing is given in a concentrated form, and then a cross-linguistic impact in acquisition of French as a third language (L3) is considered. The theoretical concepts are analyzed basing on practice and finally the results of the case study are presented. The case study was conducted among 110 secondary school students studying French in Kurzeme region. The respondents were students beginning their training in grade 10 and elementary users of the language in grades 11 and 12. Several psycholinguistic aspects were included: cross-linguistic impact to explain the transfer and lexical interference phenomena as well as difficulties of perception and interpretation. The research results allow defining certain principles for French as third language (L3) learning.
