Straipsnyje remiantis literatūros šaltinių analize bei empirinio tyrimo rezultatais aptariama sociokultūrinės aplinkos įtaka paauglių vertybių struktūrai. Tyrimo rezultati parodė, kad daugiausia įtakos paauglių vertybėms turi šeimos socialinis statusas ir gyvenamoji aplinka. Šeimos priklausymas aukštesniam ar žemesniam socialiniam sluoksniui nulemia galimybę paaugliams pasirinkti gyvenimo būdą.Taip pat straipsnyje aptariamas miesto ir kaimo paauglių emocinių ryšių skirtybės: kaime gyvenantys paaugliai palaiko glaudesnius ryšius su šeimos nariais, labiau paiso jų nuomonės, o mieste gyvenantys paaugliai daugiausia dėmesio skiria madingai aprangai.
The author of this article deals with the problem of values of teenagers. The results of the empirical survey "Lifestyle of teenagers" show the influence of social stratification and place of living to structure of values of the teenagers. Teenagers from wealthy family group stress fashion, clothes, "more expensive" forms of leisure time more often, whereas those less wealthy stress the forms of leisure that require less means. In terms of life quality, it appears that the needs of the wealthy teenagers are satisfied. The less wealthy teenagers lack favorable material conditions more often; although they have less friends, they emphasize that they have real friends. The survey also showed the differentiation in the structure of values according living places of teenagers families (town and countryside). The teenagers who live in the countryside are more devoted to their family, they keep closer relations with their family members. In addition, they are very attentive to their family members and their opinion and they value studies more. The teenagers who live in towns devote more attention to fashion, style of clothes in comparison to the teenagers who live in the countryside. The basic conclusion is made about the fact that structure of values of teenagers are influenced by social stratification and place of living of respondent families.
