Rural Development 2021 : Challenges for Sustainable Bioeconomy and Climate Change

Abstract

The 10th International Scientific conference "Rural development 2021: Challenges for Sustainable Bioeconomy and Climate change" was held at the Academy of Agriculture of Vytautas Magnus University (VMU). The aim of the conference is to promote interdisciplinary scientific debate and to present new ideas on rural development processes in the context of bioeconomy, climate change, innovation and social progress. During the conference, 150 experts from 20 countries of the world had the opportunity to discuss and propose economic and social innovations, various technological solutions to speed up bioeconomy processes. The results of scientific research were shared by scientists, practitioners, representatives of NGOs, young scientists and students, who study agro-innovations and food technologies, biosystems engineering and environmental sustainability, a multifunctional approach to the sustainable use of biological resources and other relevant topics.
