Ši metodinė priemonė yra parengta atsižvelgiant į Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto Rektoriaus įsakymu Nr. 74a, 2008-02-26 patvirtintą Baigiamųjų darbų rengimo ir gynimo bendrąją tvarką. Leidinys skirtas VDU Menų fakulteto studentams, rašantiems bakalauro, magistro baigiamuosius darbus, taip pat kursinius ir tiriamuosius darbus. Jame pateikiamos rekomendacijos apie tyrimo temą, objektą, etapus, struktūrą, metodiką ir mokslinius metodus, šaltinių ir literatūros sąrašo tvarkymą.

The methodical tool is intended for the students of ethnology who are going to write their Bachelor‘s final thesis. It describes the purpose of the final thesis and sets out the requirements for such work. It also discusses how a research subject should be chosen and set forth, and how the time for writing the thesis should be organized. It is also provides guidelines about how to make a plan for carrying out research, write the final thesis, and how to follow the plan. Moreover, it highlights some peculiarities about conducting ethnological research and analysis as well as a number of ways of searching for necessary information. The process of thesis writing is discussed; constituent parts of the final thesis, finalization of the final thesis and related issues are described.
