Studijoje Lietuvių jaunimo Jungtinėje Karalystėje grįžimo į Lietuvą nuostatos tiriamos pasitelkiant fokusuotų grupių interviu metodą. Tyrimo metu siekta išsiaiškinti, kokie veiksniai ir valstybės grįžtamosios migracijos politikos priemonės skatina, ir kas sulaiko nuo grįžimo į Lietuvą. Studijoje taip pat analizuojamas Jungtinės Karalystės lietuvių jaunimo požiūris į melagingas naujienas ir jų įtaką sprendimui sugrįžti.

The publication “Lithuanian Energy Security. Annual Review 2016-2017” presents the problems of Lithuanian energy security, energy security research methods and methodology, which enables the determination of Lithuanian energy security level. The research is of interdisciplinary character – energy security problems integrate the aspects of energy, economics, sociology and political science. The dynamics of Lithuanian energy security level is covered and compared with the dynamics of Latvian and Estonian energy security levels. Moreover, energy security perception in Lithuanian society is analyzed.

The formation of energy security policy and the construction of energy infrastructure are based on the prevailing concept of energy security. According to D. Yergin (1988: 111), it might be described as aim to ensure a reliable energy supply at reasonable prices, without harming the essential national values and goals. From a sociological point of view, it is important to investigate what threats of energy security are identified by the actors who construct energy security policy. The social actors’ awareness of energy security and their choices, which usually are defined by uncertain situations, depends on a variety of social factors. Sociological theories allow to explain and interpret these factors. Although D. Yergin (2006: 70) complemented the definition of energy security, arguing that each country’s energy security concept depends on the position in the chain of energy supply and the threats of each national energy system are not identical, however, the technological elements of the systems (infrastructure, energy sources) are more or less universal. Therefore, the scientists researching threats of technological energy systems agree on the existences of a common threat to energy resources supply (e.g. Russian VVER or Japanese ABWR - type nuclear reactors). Meanwhile, the perception of risk and uncertainty of energy system functioning is selective and caused by various social factors, regardless of whether the uncertainty and the risk is real or just imagined.[...]

The research is of interdisciplinary character – energy security problems integrate the aspects of energy, economics, politics and sociology. The dynamics of Lithuanian energy security level is covered and compared with the dynamics of Latvian and Estonian energy security levels. The most important processes influencing the Lithuanian energy security level and energy policy are analysed and assessed.
