The present day attitudes towards the studies of foreign languages and pedagogical-psychological mechanisms of their formationItem type:Publication, [Dabartinės studentų nuostatos mokantis užsienio kalbų ir pedagoginis bei psichologinis јų formavimas]research article[1998][S5][S007][27] ;Ramoškienė, AldonaActa Paedagogica Vilnensia. Atlikti 322 studentų svetimos kalbos mokymosi nuostatos tyrimai. Iš jtĮ galima spręsti, kad dabar dėstytojo pedagoginės veiklos įtaka palankiai nuostatai formuotis yra minimali. Nė vienas iš apklaustų studentų neįvardijo savo užsienio kalbų dėstytojų kaip palankios nuostatos kūrėjų. Straipsnio pabaigoje pateikiamos išvados ir pedagoginės rekomendacijos studento teigiamai nuostatai mokantis užsienio kalbų formuoti ir reguliuoti.
6 25 Competitive ability potential according to the local authorities in Alytus and Utena regionsItem type:Publication, research article[2006][S5][S004][12]; Tiltai. Klaipėda : Klaipėdos universiteto leidykla., 2006, [Nr.] 2, p. 19-30The opinion of the local authorities of Alytus and Utena regions on the competative ability in their regions is presented. It is a part of the international project on the regional competitive ability. 59 respondents were polled. They answered 163 questions. the purpose of the research was to determine the major factors influencing the terrotorial development and the career possibilities, also the ability to compete in different economic conditions.

8 38 Geoecological estimation of sedimentation peculiarities of chemical element genetic forms in some basins of the South BalticItem type:Publication, [Geoekologinis cheminių elementų genetinių formų sedimentacinių ypatybių įvertinimas kai kuriuose Pietų Baltijos baseinuose]research article[2007][S4][N006][13]Geologija. Vilnius : Lietuvos mokslų akademijos leidykla, 2007, Vol. 47, p. 1-13This work, done from the geoecological positions, presents quantitative relation data on elements formed by the interaction of natural sedimentation processes and human impact on the sediments from the study areas - the Gulf of Finland, the Gdansk Bay, Klaipeda and Gdansk ports. The total (T), lithogenic (stable - LG) and hydrogenic (mobile, reaction capable - HG) migration (state) forms of Zn, Cr, Cd, Cu, Pb, Ni, etc. were analysed. Among the latter genetic forms, ionic exchange (IE), organic-mineral (OM) and hydroxidic (HO) species were analysed as different but most reaction-capable forms. All these forms reflect the regularities of different course of sedimentation processes during the last 10 (and more) thousand years in the history of the Baltic Sea possibly affected by anthropogenic influence in the last two centuries. A detailed analysis of these forms in the stratum of bottom deposits has revealed that the distribution of elements and formation of their anomalous quantities in the Gdansk Bay and the Gulf of Finland were determined by natural processes: geological structure, rock composition, peculiarities of geochemical barrier zones, changes of hydrological conditions. During the many-sided investigation of Klaipeda and Gdansk port sediments, the areas of natural (NSZ) and technogenic (TSZ) sedimentation zones were distinguished. Anomalous quantities of elements, specific distribution of their migration forms, hemistagnation conditions and the nearness of technogenical sources are typical of the latter zone. The quantities of elements in the NSZ of marine influence are smaller than those in both sedimentation zones of the river part of the Gdansk Port. The balance of HG, LG and T forms in the port sediments of both zones is different for the various elements, but in the TSZ it is always greater than in the NTZ. The distribution of T form depends on the quantity of fraction <0.063 mm and on the concentration of Cor...
7 33 Principles of rational dislocation of road infrastructure objects on the main and national roadsItem type:Publication, research article[2006][S1a][N006][10] ;Petkevičius, Kazys ;Christauskas, JuliusBaltic journal of road and bridge engineering. , 2006, vol. 1, no. 2, p. 93-102Lithuania has a rather good network of motor roads facilitating transportation of passengers and cargoes. Devel¬opment of tourism and transit transport requires a rational distribution of hotels, motels, restaurants, cafes, staging posts, filling stations etc. Being now a member of the EU, Lithuania must undertake to improve the network of roads so as to meet the international requirements. Seeking to convert Lithuania into a country of travel, transit and transportation, the roads must be improved to provide all necessary services. The state of pavement, characterised by the indices of cracking and evenness, is an important factor of travelling comfort and safety. Roadsides service objects represent other factors which influence the flows of travellers. Basing on analysis of West European and Russian experience, we recommend to classify the objects and complexes of roadside service and infrastructure into categories A, B, C, D, E, F, and G depending on the rest time and to arrange them according to the model presented in the article. Having evaluated the questionnaire data and actual distribution of service complexes by the Lithuanian main roads, the authors recommend to space the service objects and complexes at suggested rational distances. The recommendations for improving the roads and their infrastructure represent the novelty of the present work. They will contribute to travelling comfort and contribute to providing the services necessary for travellers and drivers.

29 9 Testing the relational perspective map for visualization of multidimensional dataItem type:Publication, [Santykinės perspektyvos metodo, skirto daugiamačiams duomenims vizualizuoti, tyrimas]research article[2006][S1b][N009][6]; ;Marcinkevičius, VirginijusŪkio technologinis ir ekonominis vystymas. Vilnius : Technika., 2006, Vol. 12, no. 4, p. 289-294This paper deals with a method, called the relational perspective map that visualizes multidimensional data onto two-dimensional closed plane. It tries to preserve the distances between the multidimensional data in the lowerdimensional space. But the most important feature of the relational perspective map is the ability to visualize data in a non-overlapping manner so that it reveals small distances better than other known visualization methods. In this paper, the features of this method are explored experimentally and some disadvantages are noticed. We have proposed a modification of this method, which enables us to avoid them.
