Abstract
Magistrantūros studijų baigiamasis darbas, 70 puslapių, 10 paveikslų, 11 lentelių, 43 literatūros šaltiniai, 2 priedai, lietuvių kalba.
Prasminiai žodžiai: specialieji ugdymosi poreikiai, adaptacija profesijoje, motyvacija.
Tyrimo objektas: specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių jaunuolių profesijos pasirinkimo ir adaptacijos profesijoje sėkmingumo lygis.
Tyrimo tikslas: ištirti specialiųjų poreikių jaunuolių profesijos pasirinkimo motyvus ir adaptacijos joje sėkmingumo lygį jaunuolių ir pedagogų požiūriu.
1. Anketinės apklausos metodu ištirti specialiųjų ugdymosi poreikių jaunuolių profesijos pasirinkimo motyvus.
2. Anketinės apklausos metodu įvertinti specialiųjų poreikių jaunuolių adaptaciją pasirinktoje profesijoje.
3. Atlikus interviu išsiaiškinti pedagogų požiūrį į specialiųjų poreikių jaunuolių pasirinkimo motyvus renkantis profesiją bei adaptaciją joje.

Master thesis consists of 70 pages, 10 figures, 11 tables, 43 references, 2 appendixes, in the Lithuanian language.
Key words: special educational needs, adaptation at work, motivation for work.
Research object: the level of success of the young people with special needs adaptation at work.
Research target: to investigate the level of success of young people on their choice of profession by the attitude of teachers and themselves.
1. Investigate the motives of young people with special educational needs for choosing a profession using the method of questionnaire survey.
2. Apply the questionnaire method to evaluate the adaptation of young people with special needs in the chosen profession.
3. After the interview, find out the attitude of the teachers towards young people with special needs decision when choosing a preferred profession and the adaptation to it.
4. Compare the attitudes of young people with special needs and teachers to see what motivates the choice of profession and any necessary adaptation within the profession.
Methods of research: Methods of analysis of research data: analysis of scientific literature, quantitative research - questionnaire survey, descriptive statistics, qualitative research - content analysis.
Research results: The results of the research confirm that the closest environment - parents (or guardians) and the experience of friends has the greatest significance in selecting a profession by young people with special educational needs and their primary adaptation to it. However, interview data clarifies that during the occupational guidance, the health status of such a young person is taken into account by selecting a more suitable or safer profession health-wise.
The results of the research reveal that the weakest expression of all professional motivations is the work related social significance of the person. This, together with the information received during the interview, tells about the low self-esteem of young people, and for a number of reasons - a small selection of available occupations, local accessibility, previous work experience of young people with special needs, their disability and psychological problems. The externally or self imposed "benefits scrounger" status creates preconditions for confirming the second hypothesis that material gathered during the interviews does not contradict the fact that there is a negative attitude of employers (fears) towards the young people with special needs youth. However, the main goal should be not to seek financial support from the state, but to be motivated to adapt to the profession and the working environment.
