Kėdainių kraštą XIV a. Darbe pateikiama susisteminta informacija, kuri gali būti naudinga ateities tyrimams. Šiame magistro darbe taip pat analizuojama Kėdainių rajono išteklių informacinės sklaidos situacija, pateikiamas jos vertinimas, rekomendacijos tobulinimui bei individualūs turistiniai maršrutai. Atlikus tyrimus ir išanalizavus gautus rezultatus, išsiaiškinta, jog Kėdainių kraštas turi gausius architektūros paveldo išteklius, turi didelį potencialą turizmui, tačiau jų pritaikymas turizmui ir informacinė sklaidos situacija yra tobulintina.
In the center of Lithuanian lowland, on both coasts of Nevėžis, there is a city called Kėdainiai. Kėdainiai is an important city with unique urbanistic history and preserved cultural heritage with valuable architectural buildings. Kėdainiai was first mentioned by Prussian crusaders and Livonian chroniclers in the second half of the XIV century. The chroniclers wrote that Kėdainiai was known for dense forests, woods, and densely populated territories. They also wrote about nobleman's mansions and manors. Kėdainiai as all Nevėžis lowland was known for manors. Till now there are over ten manors, mansions, and other objects, but unfortunately, the majority is only fragments and remains. By the middle of the XVI century, Kėdainiai became one of the first centers of reformation in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Many different cultures and confessions lived together by creating a unique city that has remaining buildings with a high worth for the city and national level. There were arions, protestants, evangelical Reformed and evangelical Lutheran communities as well as fosterers of Lithuanian writing. Kėdainiai is also one of the seven cities that has the old town. Kėdainiai old town is unique because of the historical street plan, trade squares, and preserved buildings. Even though the potential of Kėdainiai unmovable cultural heritage is high there is not enough research, therefore in this thesis, the information about manors, sacred buildings, and most fundamental oldtown objects will be collected and analyzed. The information gathered in this thesis could be used for further research. In the thesis, there is also analysis of the information situation regarding the analyzed objects with the observations and recommendations for the improvement as well as individual tourism routes. The research suggests that the District of Kėdainiai has a high value and volume of architectural resources, with high potential for tourism growth, but the information situation is not well organized and should be upgraded.
