Abstract
Technical training of skaters is a quite specific process due to the peculiarities of training both in the ice surface and outside it. One of the main means for improvement of technical readiness of skaters outside the ice surface is a special imitation exercises.
Among the dynamic indicators that characterize the technique of athletes’ movements in speed skating, the most informative indicators are the ones that create a representation of the peak pressure distribution in the zones of foot and the area of displacement of the pressure center.
The choice of specially prepared imitative exercises should be carried out in accordance with the phases of athletes’ supporting interactions in competitive movements. In the research, particular tasks of each phase in the dynamics of the simulation exercise are considered in accordance with the key zones of pressure in the plantar area of the feet. The determination of the phase composition of the exercise, as well as the recording of pressure data, was carried out using modern instruments: “Motion capture” technology and the method of pedobarography.
The study involved four athletes, who specialized in speed skatingand had many years of experience in international competitions.
On the basis of the data obtained, it is possible to study the state of technical readiness of the skaters from many sides, i.e., the “picture” of the phase character of the pressure distribution in the push-off phaseindicates the effectiveness of the applied efforts in the locomotion performed. The presented results give grounds to talk about the need for more precise study of the distribution of pressure in the plantar foot area within each of the phases of the motor action of skaters.
The use of these methods in assessing the technical readiness of high qualificationskaters will improve the training process outside the ice surface and is of a necessity.
The athlete with the longest experience of training and qualification is the most technically trained. This athlete has the most equable pressure distribution in zones A, B – approximately 7.1 kg/cm2 and E – 5.3 kg/cm2.
