The future of the Baltic Sea

Abstract

At the online lecture-discussion “The future of the Baltic Sea” participated guests: Commissioner, responsible for the environment, oceans, and fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevičius, member of the European Parliament Liudas Mažylis, and Minister of Environment Kęstutis Mažeika. During the lecture, honourable guests presented the new “Baltic Sea clean-up” initiative and how it was important to the Baltic Sea region, what regulations Lithuania could implement to tackle sea pollution and what had been done so far. The workshop was organised to mark the Lithuanian Presidency in the Council of the Baltic Sea States.
