Abstract: It was assessed that the time period from the seeding of Alium cepa L. until the primary occurrence of peronosporosis depends on the sum of positive temperatures and the number of days when the relative air humidity is more than 80%. The secondary occurrence of peronosporosis of the injured onions of the first and second year influences the short-term forecast. Air condition of the vegetation period (sum of the positive temperatures, average daily temperature, air humidity, number of days when the air humidity is more than 80 %) is also important
