The history of the Catholic Church is drenched with blood. Almost all of the first disciples of Christ – the apostles and their successors, the early Christians – were martyrs; all of them were killed and testified until death their faithfulness to Christ. The apostles and their successors became martyrs “for Christ’s sake”. This martyrdom allowed to take part in the Work of Redemption which was accomplished through the Savior’s suffer and death. The Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys’ life facts show bishop as merciful God’s sign of goodness, living image of Christ’s love. Educated and tenacious Archbishop M. Reinys remained a transparent man of the Spirit, blessed and sent to lead God’s nation on its way to the eternity. [...]
