Straipsniu siekiama parodyti Lietuvos ir Švedijos istorijos sąlyčius ir atskleisti abiejų šalių santykių istorijos teminį spektrą nuo seniausių laikų iki XVIII a. pabaigos pasirėmus Lenkijos, Šveicarijos ir kitų Europos šalių istorikų tyrimas.

The article discusses the Seiss-Lithuanian political, academic, art and economic relations from the earliest times till the end of the 18th century. The sybject has not yet been investigated in historiography. The studies of the Lithuanian historians have been limited to the cultural relations between Lithuanian magnates and Swiss cultural centres, such as the universities in Basel and Zurich in the 16th and 17th centuries...
