The article examines a philotopy in Jonas Mekas’ poetry collection „The Idylls of Semeniškiai“. The main attention is paid to analysis of the epistemological changes of poetry narrator, being in Semeniškiai and not trying to overstep the horizon of place, the unity of mind and being. The narrator has detailed knowledge about Semeniškiai but does not know anything about it. Love is superior than knowledge. Semeniškiai is the place which is totally enough for the narrator, he does not want to fight against the world. The collection of poetry is Jonas Mekas’ monument to his birthplace. The article concludes that the relation between the narrator and place, called Semeniškiai, is philotopical.
