The article deals with statistical relationship between transformational leadership and initiation on interpersonal communication of senior school students. The article emphasises peculiarities of new generation school students. It is relevant to reveal the main traits of transformational leadership of new generation school students and their relationship to interpersonal communication. The results of the research show that the most typical leadership of senior school students is the transformational one. The transformational leadership of new generation students is not based on charisma. Individualized consideration is the most expressed domain of transformational leadership, whereas idealized influence is less expressed in transformational leadership. The domains of transformational leadership significantly correalte with the abilities of the initiation of interpersonal communication. The strongest statistically significant relationships were disclosed between the inspirational motivation and the initiation of interpersonal communication.
