Linguistic world-view is compressed and fixed in phraseological system of language in a capacious form reflecting all basic cultural concepts of linguistic mentality. Phraseological system of language is a mentality prototypical kernel which primarily provides the world-view of man. In this regard, phraseological microfields associated with the concepts of «soul» and «body» are expedient to be recognized as prototypical elements creating appropriate lexical fields in the national corpus of language vocabulary, and are mirrored in phraseological units (further on – PhUs). This paper studies Russian and Lithuanian PhUs conceptualizing somatisms, which contribute to understanding the basic meanings connected with the «world of soul» as well as with the «outside world» surrounding man.
