The article investigates relationships between sense of coherence of pregnant women and their quality of life. The target group consisted of 162 pregnant women of different age, (n = 82) who were attending R. Shemeta Prenatal Health School and (n = 80) who were not attending prenatal courses. The participants were investigated in the maternity centre. Sense of coherence of pregnant women was evaluated by Life Orientation Questionnaire (Antonovsky, 1995 / 1987) and their quality of life was assessed according to M. B. Frisch (1994) Quality of Life Questionnaire. The research revealed that pregnant women with low sense of coherence were more dissatisfied with their self-esteem, aims and values, money, work and studies, free time, creativity, love, relatives and home. The results had shown that alongside with increasing sense of coherence, pregnant women felt greater satisfaction with their health, self-esteem, aims and values, money, work and studies, free time, creativity and love, relatives and home.
