Abstract: Adolescence is the time when many changes occur in different developmental spheres such as physical and physiological, cognitive, social, personality. The intensiveness of these changes proceeds different problems in adolescent’s life quality. Regardless of the difficulties young person must cope with learning tasks in school. The research attempted to get more knowledge about school situations that adolescents experience as difficult. The results were compared with polish adolescents research date (Tyszkowa, 1990). Sequence of difficult school situations according to level of subjective difficulty was similar in lithuanian and polish samples. But task situations more often presented danger to polish adolescents and situations which threaten interpersonal relations more often are experienced by lithuanian adolescents as difficult. Some of school situations regarded as difficult decrease with age. Girls more often experience difficult situations at school than boys
