The participants were 15–18 years old children from Vilnius schools with art specialization (n = 240). We used the assignments of creative thinking by E. P. Torrance, 1974) (TTCT), visual (nonverbal) form and creativity questionnaire by V. Petrulis (1988). The conclusions were that (1) nonverbal creativity parameters are higher among children from art specialized classes than of a children without arts education profile; (2) there is a positive correlation between parameters of child´s creativity and academic achievement among art oriented specialization children.
One of the main priorities of education system in Lithuania is development of child’s creativity. The purpose of the research was to explore creativity features of children studying with art-orientation program at school in comparison with a standart education environment and the connection between their creativity and academic achievement.
