Abstract: Aerobic endurance sport disciplines are stipulated by physical development and physical capacity indices. Dynamics of these indices make foundation of athletes preparation. Our aim was to analyse the dynamics of indices of physical development and working capacity during 1997-1998 year training cycle. We investigated 6 highest level rowers of two seated and four seated boats three times per season. We established dynamics of their functional capacity in different duration physical load and dynamics of lactate concentration in rowers blood, after 1 min duration physical work with max efforts, blood presure and heart rate indices during standard physical load. The rowers aerobic capacity was established by the analysis of respiratory gas working on rowing ergometer. During the researches period rowers' anaerobic-alactatic capacity for 10 s duration working with max efforts on rowing ergometer have increased. Indices of lactate concentration in four seated bout's rowers blood after 1 min duration work maximal efforts test have increased, comparing the first, the second and the third researches. The indices in two seated bout's rowers blood had a tendency to increase before the most important competition of this season. Indices of aerobic capacity have changed diferently. At the beginning four seated bout's rowers aerobic capacity was not large, but it was increasing during all the season. Two seated bout rowers aerobic capacity was large at the first our research. During the second research it had a tendency to decrease and at the last one their aerobic capacity had increased and approached to the level of model characteristic. At the stage before important competition the competitive training have to be completed. Intensive work in these training would help to activate glycolitic reactions in rowers organism
