Abstract: The Baltic contexts in Stanislaw Przybyszewski's works, revealing the originality of the writer's artistic talent, are evident at three levels of the relationship of his poetry with Scandinavian literature: M.Maeterlinck's and H.Ibsen's drama (theatre of cruelty, drama of soul); the psychological concept of art, prior to Z.Freud's theory, embodied in the sketch about O.Hanson; the theory of naked soul reflected in the artistic-aesthetic relations with E.Munk's art. Przybyszewski's functional poetry fits also in the system of Lithuanian-Polish literary relations (Lithuanian modernism, A.Garbačiauskas' works). The aforementioned contexts are unified by the comparative research method
