Straipsnyje analizuojamas praktinis ir teorinis ikimokyklinio ugdymo pedagogų pasirengimas, jų nuostatos bei kompetencija ugdyti dvikalbių vaikų lietuvių kalbą. Tai siejama su pastaruoju metu sparčiai plėtojama lietuvių kalbos, kaip valstybinės, mokyklose bei ikimokyklinėse Įstaigose sistema.
The article analyses practical and theoretical training of pre-school education teachers and their attitudes to teach the Lithuanian language to bilingual children. This is closely related to the system of teaching the Lithuanian language as the state language in pre-school education institutions.
The results of the reseach unfolded the positive attitude of pre-school educators towards teaching the Lithuanian language to bilingual children. However, some fundamental problems of teaching the language were revealed: a) pre-school educators are not enough familiarized with consistent patternts (reguliarities) of teaching language at pre-school age; b) the majority of pre-school educators do not have a clue concerning the methodology of teaching second (state) language and they lack methodological recommendations for solving such problems.
