Abstract: The results of current-voltage charakteristics measured at different temperatures in polyethylene films are presented. The temperature dependent I-V charakteristics are explained on assumtion that the current is caused by a process of the phonon-assisted tunneling of charge carriers from the traps located in the region of high electric field
