Investigations were carried out during 2014-2015 in the laboratory of Agrobiotechnology and institute of Biology and plant biotechnology in the faculty of Agronomy at the Aleksandras Stulginskis university. The aim of work was to evaluate the growth regulator combinations on Begonia rex ‘Pink Pride’ organogenesis frequency in vitro. The results of this study shows that in medium without growth regulators Begonia rex ‘Pink Pride’ isolated leaves segments formed low frequency of organogenesis. Investigated combinations of cytokinins and auxin in medium substantially promoted Begonia rex ‘Pink Pride’ shoot formation in vitro. The medium supplement by 1.0 mg 1-1 BAP + 0.1 mg 1-1 NAA and 2.0 mg 1-1 TDZ + 0.1 mg 1-1 NAA resulted in highest shoot formation number of isolate leaf segments.
