Abstract (en)
Research was investigated during 2014–2015 at the laboratory of Agrobiotechnology and Biology and Plant Biotechnology Institute of Aleksandras Stulginskis University. The effect of different combinations of NAR and BAP on callus regeneration from cotyledon, leaf and petiole explants were investigated. The rate of callus induction varied from 51 to 100 % depending on the combination of applied growth regulators and type of explants. Of the combinations, cotyledons in MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg1-1 BAP + 0.5 mg 1-1 NAA, and petiole explants in MS medium complement with 0.5 mg 1-1 BAP + 0.1 mg 1-1 NAA, 1.0 mg 1-1 BAP + 0.1 mg 1-1 NAA, 1.0 mg 1-1 BAP + 0.5 mg 1-1 NAA was the most effective, providing callus initiation for 100 %.
