Abstract: 5203 ground beetle specimens were caught in four different agrocenoses types during the study. Analysis of ground beetle abundance seasonal dynamics showed two peaks: in May and July. Essentially the highest number of ground beetle adults was detected in wheat and triticale crops, where during the whole period of operation of the traps on the average 426.8 and 340.6 specimens per trap were found. Five ground beetle species defined as the most abundant: Poecilus cupreus L., Pterostichus melanarius Ill, Amara aenea Deg., Carabus cancellatus Ill., Harpalus rufipes Deg. Poecilus cupreus L. specimens consisted the largest part among collected ground beetle species (3714 specimens, 74.8%)
