The investigation was carried out in the Pomological garden of Aleksandras Stulginskis university in 2015-2016. While performing the research there was taken two factors experment: factor A - the varieties of Asparagus officinalis L.('Gijnlim' and 'Avalim') and factor B - the fertilization with granulated cattle manure fertilizer. The options of fertilizing were as follows: 1. Unfertilized; 2. Fertilized 2 t ha"1; 3. Fertilized 4 t ha"1. The influence of fertilizer for the general and marketable yield of asparagus spears, the average number of removed asparagus spears, the average length and diameter of asparagus spears have been evaluated during the research.-It was determined that the essential influence of the fertilization with the granulated cattle manure fertilizer for the yield of asparagus spears was not observed. The highest yield of general (6.62 t ha"1) and marketable (5.07 t ha"1) spears was observed with 'Avalim' plants after the fertilization them with 4t ha"1 of granulated cattle manure fertilizer. The lowest yield of general (4,76 t ha"1) and marketable (3.96 t ha"1) spears was observed with 'Gijnlim' plants without fertilization. The highest number of removed spears (20 units) was obtained with 'Gijnlim' plants using 4 t ha"1 of fertilizer. The variety had an essential influence on spears length. The longest spears (22.6 cm) were observed on 'Gijnlim' plants after the fertilization them with 4 t ha"1 of fertilizer, the shortest - 19.7 cm were observed on 'Avalim' plants without fertilization. The confident highest average diameter of the spears (1.8 cm) was obtained with 'Avalim' plants after the fertilizationon them with 2 t ha"1.
