Winter wheat is grown at the Experimental Station of Aleksandras Stulginskis University. Experiments were made in 2015-2016 in order to compare different winter wheat varieties yield, protein content, wet gluten content and sedimentation values with total varieties average depending on climatic conditions. As the experiment's object were chosen five winter wheat varieties 'Artist', 'Edvin', 'Skagen', 'Viola' and 'Bertold'. The soil of the experimental site is medium heavy loam Endocalcari-Epihypogleyic Cambisol (sicco) (CMg-p-w-can). During the sowing time the wheat was fertilized with single - element phosphorus and potassium P60K60 fertilizer. In spring after the vegetation had renewed, the winter wheat was treated with ammonium saltpetre N(68+68). During the noding time the winter wheat was fertilized with carbamate leach N10. In conclusion 'Viola' and 'Bertold' were researched as high protein content, high wet gluten content and high sedimentation values varieties which means very good baking qualities. Winter wheat variety 'Artist' matured the highest yield which had not significant difference comparising with total varieties average.Winter wheat variety 'Edvin' matured significantly lower yield.
