Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of moisture deficit on content of photosynthetic pigments in millet plants. The experiments were carried out in the Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology of Aleksandras Stulginskis University in 2011-2012. For more than a week-long drought significantly inhibited the chlorophyll a content of green millet plants. The negative effects of moisture deficit on chlorophyll b content occur after 6 days of drought. Carotenoids content significantly decreased after two weeks of water deficit
