Siekiant padėti mokiniams tinkamai pasirinkti profesiją pedagogams svarbu žinoti, kaip paauglių fizinis aktyvumas sąlygoja pasirenkamas profesijas ir kaip fizinė kompetencija įtakoja jų profesinius lūkesčius. Jaunimo ugdymo praktika byloja, kad fizinio lavinimo siekiniai dažnai būna susijęs su kūniškojo grožio ir malonumų vertybėmis, dėl to, vertybinis ugdymas fizinio lavinimo metu yra labai aktuali šių dienų jaunimo ir mokyklos problema.
For the educators, it is important to know what factors make influence on the future career plans of the students. The aim of the research is to examine the coherence of physical competence, social value orientations and professional expectations of the older teenagers at secondary schools. Received results of the research confirmed the hypothesis that students, whose social value orientations are coherent with physical competences, have more expectations to find a future profession in a physical and social fields, not in the gnoso-analytical field. Physical competence was found to be really one of the key factors influencing professional expectations related with physical professions. Physical competence involves various functional personality levels, such as physical capabilities, health, hygiene, physical body shape etc. For the physical competence acquiring, it is very important to have self-educational skills and aspirations to improve positive personality traits. The results clearly demonstrated that the more physical competence teenagers acquire, the more they tend to choose a profession which requires physical capabilities. The physical professions chosen are also statistically coherent both with the healthy living style and healthy eating habits of the teenagers.
