Electrospark coating, or in other words electrospark alloying, is well known surface modification technology to improve the properties of metallic surfaces. Electrospark coating process can be described as micro welding where any electric conductor as electrodes (anodes of any metals or its alloys, hard metals) can be used. The microstructure, hardness and surface roughness analysis of WC-Co, Ti-Co ba-ced electrospark coatings is presented in this paper. Study of data show that roughnes not depends dra-maticaly on processing time. Hardnes of laiers down from surface to base decrease signally in both WC-CO6 and TiC15-CO6 coatings. Highest values of hardness was of coatings surface layers. for TiC15-CO6 coating it was 2028 HV in average, and for WC-CO6 – 1249 HV.
