The analysis of the previous 30 -yr (1983-2012 ) the American mink accounting data reveals the following trends of the animal. Some of them reflect the weather or even the hunting reserve of the intensity of the surroundings influence. It appears that some of the results were impacted by unfavorable accounting conditions, lifestyle features, and in some cases – lack of experience and counters, lack of attention.
The purpose of this article is to expose the American mink as invasive species on ecosystems Žuvintas rezervre. The study aims to carry out American mink records to figure out the dynamics of the American mink, the influence to the birds and mammals. In the paper there are used cartographic data of Žuvintas’ Biosphere Reserve; Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve Management Plan as well. The study aims to find out the influence of American mink to ecosystems. This abundance of American mink control action plan is taking place at issue area - in Žuvintas Lake District which is in the southern Lithuania, Alytus district, 8 km north of the city Simnas. The main threat of the American mink in Lake neighborhood is for on land and water nesting birds. The catched American minks morphometric data and animal cells are transferred to the Institute of Ecology of Vilnius University laboratory. Until now, data on the American mink in Lithuania gathered unreasonably low. Most of the Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve observations and monitoring programs traditionally focus on ornithofauna research and for non-systematic observations of animals. Most of the game accounts for all the data collected during the year. The regular monitoring of the reserve area, in addition to assessing hunters and local residents reports. The traditional way of circumventing the forest lot of snow blocks by specifying the available data. In such a "complex" accounting method quite accurately determine the total number of animals, in addition to assess the changes occurring the course of the seasons.
