Research results of computer models of experimental herbs’ dryer made in accordance with patent No. 6069 are presented in the article. In order to accomplish the research, hourly intensity of total solar radiation and ambient air temperature were measured; the data was obtained in Kaunas weatherstation. Computer modelling software “Matlab” was used to determine temperature values of preheated air, coming out from aerial solar collector (desiccant) in the presence of permanently attached solar collector and aerial solar collector using Sun positioning system. The intensity of so-lar radiation at the certain angle to horizon and the variation of ambient air temperature were as-sessed. It was estimated that the model where Sun positioning system had been applied, was ener-getically 0.57 time more efficient. According to the obtained results recommendations for possible modernization of experimental herbs’ dryer are provided.
