Abstract (en)
This paper presents a modal analysis to analyse vibration of a tool holder of turning lathe. The aim of this study is to obtain information about the influence of tool holder to dynamic behavior of vibrating structure. As tool holder structure has distributed mass, stiffness and other parameters it is necessary to consider the dynamics of such elastic structure. The analytical results were obtained by a finite element method (FEM) that is provided by a SolidWorks software. The physical processes peculiarities are explained. Experimental results were obtained using PULSE software developed by Brüel & Kjaer.
