The research has been done in 2013–2014 at the University of Aleksandras Stulginskis, of Agriculture and Forestry Joint Research Centre, in the laboratory of plants. The two factor research has been done: factor A – the duration of storage, factor B – carrot variates. A hybrid carrot variates 'Nominator H' (early) and 'Berlin H' (mid-early) have been chosen for this research. Carrot roots were stored in the basement in untied plastic bags from 2013 September to 2014 February. After the research, it was determined that the biggest differences of ascorbic acid and nitrates in the roots were after 5 months at the end of the storage. The biggest potassium substantial differences in carrot roots were noticed after 3 months. The biggest fundamental differences were determined after 2 months of storage in both variates of carrot solids.
