The main objective was to determine effect by nitrogen fertilization on various varieties of winter wheat dynamics of physiological indicators. Experiment was continued during 2012–2013 years in Aleksandras Stulginskis University Experimental Station. During the experiments were compared the five variants of fertilization (Table 1). The test consists of four repetitions. Reps arranged randomized. During sowing winter wheat (2012–09–17) were fertilized P60K60. Tillering stage (2013–04–23) fertilizer with ammonium nitrate N60. Booting stage (2013–05–14) fertilized with foliar urea solution N30 and N40. Milky maturity stage (2013–07–03) fertilizer foliar urea solution N15 and N30. Harvested on 2013–07–31. Additional nitrogen fertilization (N30 and N40) in the late stage of development slows down the degradation of photosynthetic pigments, increases the photosynthesis active period. Photosynthetic pigments maximum quantity set early milky maturity. Determined that a very good baking qualities 'Kovas' breed accumulate higher levels of photosynthetic pigments in comparison with good cooking qualities 'Olivin'.
