Abstract: The research was carried out in the laboratory of institute of Agricultural and Food science at Aleksandras Stulginskis university in 2013. In order to evaluate the harvest of white and red clovers mass the vegetative experiment in the nursery closet was carried out. The plants which were investigated were sowed into 1 dm3 size utensils. The experiment was done in three repetitions. Growing the clovers for the green fertilizers the most efficient is that standard of seed which warrants the biggest harvest of green mass and does not make the smother. Growing the white clovers for the green fertilizers it is enough to sow 8 kg ha-1, while the standard of red clovers seed could be enlarged till 20 kg ha-1
