Abstract: The main task of the research is to analyze chemical composition and estimate biogas yield of jerusalem artichokes on the anaerobic conditions. Samples of jerusalem artichokes have been tested in 201 laboratory scale biogas digester at mesophilic temperature. Concentration of total solids (TS) was 21,57 % and organic fraction in TS - 20,21 %. During anaerobic digestion the biogas yield from 1 kg of jerusalem artichokes was 31,0 1 or 144 1-kg"1 of dry matter and 153 1-kg"1 of dry organic matter. Average methane concentration in biogas was 52,9 %
