Abstract: The main task of the research is to estimate biogas yield and energy potential of sewage -ludge on the anaerobic conditions by applying one-stage digester. Samples of sludge have been tested in 4,51aboratory scale biogas digester at mesophilic temperature. Concentration of total so-ids (TS) was 3,61 % and organic fraction in TS - 72,18 %. During anaerobic digestion the biogas yield from 1 kg of sludge was 14,1 1 or 383,1 1/kg of dry matter and 530,8 1/kg of dry organic matter. Methane concentration in biogas was 58,5 %. Energy value of 1 kg sludge is 0,29 MJ or 7.97 MJ from 1 kg of dry matter and 11,04 MJ from 1 kg of dry organic matter
