The object of investigation – kieselguhr, Capsicum annuum plants by using mulch. Two factors mulching studies were carried out in 2012 North East Lithuania Rokiskis area Skemu village. Capsicum annuum crop grown in rows. Rolling back the mulch planting crops – every two weeks, it made up to 5 cm. Unused fertilizers and chemical plant protection measures. Experimental treat ments: Factor A – the different peat subtrate and kieselguhr ratio: 1) peat (control) 2) 900:100 3) 800:200 4) 700:300 5) 600:400 6) 500:500. Factor B - organic mulch 1) without mulch 2) with mulch. Experimental field soil – Orthidystric Albeluvisols Abd-0. Capsicum annuum plants most (49,3 units) leaves raised peat substrate and kieselguhr mixture of 600:400, compared with peat substrate (control). Growing capsicum annuum plants peat substrate and kieselguhr mixtures pepper yields fell from 2,1 to 16,9 perc., but these differences were not significant. The effect of soil mulching grass did not Capsicum annuum plant height, leaf number and yield.
