Abstract (en)
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of exogenous proline on content of photosynthetic pigments in millet plants. The experiments were carried out in the Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology of Aleksandras Stulginskis University in 2011-2012. Ander influence of tested L-proline concentrations the green millet plants accumulated higher level of chlorophyll a. Negative effect of exogenous L-proline on chlorophyll b content in green millet plants were established after 10 and 15 days after spraying. All the tested L-proline concentration significantly increased the carotenoid content in leaves of green millet plants.
