The article analyses the influence of anhydrous ammonia on preparation of feed grain for storage. Laboratory analyses of the influence of anhydrous ammonia on the vitality of mould fungi spores and penetration into grain have been made. During the laboratory – production trials barley of ‘Roland’ variety with initial moisture content of 19.5 % and 27 % was dried by 0.05 % and 0.21 % mixture of ambient air and anhydrous ammonia. While carrying out the trials the results were compared with control samples. During the trials the intensity of air flow and periodicity of anhydrous ammonia injection, dynamics of absorption and desorption within a layer of dried grain and the influence of anhydrous ammonia on the vitality of mould fungi spores within a layer of dried grain were established.
