Abstract (en)
Despite of extensive research efforts in the past decades, the up-to-day theory of suspension flow is unable to solve many problems necessary for practice. Therefore the experimental investigations on its further development are still being performed in many hydraulic laboratories. It is common to combine the sediment motion theory and empirical data in order to obtain the calculation methods necessary for practical needs. However, the laboratory investigation methods and experimental equipment as well as the contemporary methods of analysis of measurement data are also incomplete enough which can reduce the quality and reliability of experimental data. In the paper the possibilities to improve these methods are considered.
