Abstract (en)
The article summarizes research of using mineral diesel (MD) and rapeseed oil (RO) as a fuel for diesel engines. It has been established that depending on fuel blend, engine power decreases by 4-26% and fuel consumption increases by 8-25%. Smoke exhaust depends on engine operation mode and it increases from 7% to 38% within the average workload range at the same time as the amount of rapaseed oil increases in the blend. When engine functions in overload stage, the smoke exhaust LAND 15-2000 requirements, if the amount of rapeseed oil is higher than 50%.
