Abstract: The aim of the present investigation was to choose the optimal growth regulators for creation plant regenerants of petunia. The experiments carried out in the laboratory of Agrobiotechnology of Aleksandras Stulginskis University in 2010-2011. From tested petunia varieties the highest organogenic ability distinguishes 'Ramblin Nu Blue'. The growth regulators combination 0.8 mg l"1 BAP and 0.1 mg l"1 NAA was the most suitable for varieties 'Purple Velvet' and 'Ramblin Nu Blue' shoots induction, while growth regulators combination 0.4 mg l"1 BAP and 0.1 mg 1" NAA promoted the highest frequency of shoots induction in cultivar 'Touha'. It was established that for rooting of shoots, nutrition medium must be supplemented by 0.5 mg T1 NAA for cultivar 'Purple Velvet', 0.1 mg l"1 NAA or 0.1 mg l"1 IAA for cultivars 'Ramblin Nu Blue', and 0.5 mg l"1 IAA for cultivar 'Touha'
