In 2010 - 2011 years was studied cross (Gentiana cruciata) and yellow (Gentiana lutea) gentian seeds germination in fields condition. Multiplication of seeds collected by VDU Kaunas Botanical Garden 15 September 2010 from the rlants they naturaly mature. This family of plant needs for soil acidity is different. There are several species of this family that grown in all conditions, but there are those requiring a special growth conditions. The main requirements are: gentian family plants grow in moist areas with good drainage, does not like dry air, required intense light, but the same time do not like to overheat. The number of germinated seed was calculated every 3 day after the first seeds was sprout. Autmn sowing (seed stratification and vernalization) increase the yellow gentian seed germination from 0 % to 40 %, cross gentian from 14 % to 47 %en
