Abstract: This paper presents the review of the methodological materials prepared by the lecturers of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics at Aleksandras Stulginskis University aiming to help students to learn mathematics. This is a constant methodical work that encompasses the preparation of material for teaching mathematics, as well as the composition of material for self-work (with the examples of solving the tasks) and the preparation of the material for e-course. Moreover, the article introduces with the results of the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey was prepared by the lecturers of our university. The questionnaire is composed of various statements about the mathematical literature that was prepared at our university. What is more, some space is left for students to express their own opinion. The questionnaire survey reveals whether this type of literature is needed and if not, what are the reasons for this. Furthermore, the article analyzes the problem of understanding mathematical text
